Vital Statistics

Margaret Mary Emily Anne Hyra was born November 19th 1961 in Bethel, CT, as the second child of Harry Hyra and Susan Jordan. She has a brother, Andrew, and two sisters, Annie and Dana. Meg later changed her last name into that of her grandmother: 'Ryan'.

Meg went to Highschool in Bethel, CT. After graduating from highschool, she studied journalism at New York University, New York, NY.

Meg started her acting-career while at University. She did several commercials and then landed a movierole in Rich and Famous (1981). Meg then starred as Betsy on the popular soapopera As The World Turns for several seasons, before returning to movies. Meg has since made dozens of movies, in all kinds of genres.

She gave birth to son Jack Henry on April 24th 1992. Jack's father is Meg's ex-husband Dennis Quaid. In January 2006 Meg adopted daughter Daisy True from China. Daisy was born late 2004.
